Charleston harbor sailing is great fun. You may participate by, steering, trimming sails, keeping a lookout for other vessels and of course dolphin spotting. Just sunning yourself on the foredeck and hanging out with your friends is relaxing too. Sailing aboard “Blue Horizon” is the best way to capture great photos  of cargo ships, sunsets, graceful yachts and sea life. We use various harbor routes as determined by wind and tide and averaging from 12 to 16 miles in length. Check Charleston Sail’s reviews on  in the “Activities-adventure” section for Charleston. You may BYOB and food to snack on.

Lifejackets are on hand  for children and adults. We recommend  wearing sneakers or sandals that cover your toes. Sunglasses  and sun block are advisable too. We have a toilet on board and a cabin to take a rest.    Charleston Sail’s 3 hour water tour gives you the best time to take in most harbor features, with a possible close up view of the Ravenel cable stayed  bridge or old Fort Sumter from the civil war. We’ll sail close to commercial wharves and historic waterfront areas. The city marina with its luxury yachts,  grand old houses around Charleston Battery, the harbor pilot’s base, the US Navy carrier “Yorktown” and  Castle Pinckney are just some of the sights. We provide a running commentary.
